Eruption Back Status Mount Agung Alert 3

Mount Agung Bali again erupted on Thursday (5/7/2018) at 12:20 pm. The eruption was the biggest eruption of the past week. according to data from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) eruption occurred for 8 minutes and caused small earthquakes around its territory.

The eruption that occurred at that time caused the mountain to re-burst volcanic ash, at this time the volcanic ash appears burst as high as 2,500 meters in count from the highest peak of Mount Agung. During the day (7/7/2018) recorded Mount Agung experienced 3 times the eruption but the biggest is at 12:20 pm.

Until now the Status of Mount Agung remains Standby 3, and residents in larang approaching or doing any activity around a distance of 4 kilometers in count from the summit of Mount Agung. The ban may extend its distance if Mount Agung continues to erupt.

After the status of Mount Agung was announced, the residents around the slopes began to evacuate and evacuate to several evacuation sites that have been provided. Noted there are 122 residents who have inhabited the evacuation sites that have been provided. The government has also provided assistance to the refugees, the helpers are medics, food, clean water, milk, and tents that are comfortable for the refugees.
